A striking feature of the Vosteed Corgi is the innovative Vanchor-Lock. This system ensures the blade locks smoothly and securely, and makes it a real pleasure to use. You can easily close the knife with one hand by pressing the hinge screw. This makes the knife ideal for those who like to handle and practice with their knife. Another thing that stands out about the Vosteed Corgi V models is the fact that there is hardly any “hardware” visible on the handle. This gives the whole a calm appearance.

Vosteed Corgi: the blade

The medium-sized, fully flat-ground blade offers excellent cutting performance and is suitable for small cutting tasks such as opening parcels, peeling an apple or making a mark in wood. Thanks to its compact blade, this knife doesn’t attract unwanted attention, which is handy if you like to carry an EDC pocket knife to the office! You can easily open the Corgi using the conventional front flipper or the serrations or “jimping” on the back of the blade, which act as a traction flipper.

Vosteed Corgi: the handle

The handle of the Vosteed Corgi is nicely rounded, meaning there are no so-called “hotspots” when in use. The handle is a bit slippery, but you don’t really need a rock-solid grip for the tasks this pocket knife is designed for. Thanks to the beautifully rounded grip scales, the Corgi fits comfortably in the hand, giving you a secure three-finger grip, even with large hands.

Yue, a designer and co-founder of Vosteed, developed a passion for knives at a young age thanks to his father’s collection; who used his knives in his work as a biologist. With access to design software and a workshop, he began designing knives himself. When it comes to knife design, he is a strong advocate of combining functionality with a certain “fidget” factor. One of his main priorities is therefore to develop new locking mechanisms that make using knives even more enjoyable.
