German steel, Asian manufacture
It is 1.4116 stainless steel, a type that stays sharp well and that you can touch up yourself without special stones. Exactly what you want in a knife you use in the field rather than keep in a display case.
For the handle scales, Puma mainly uses stag horn, as well as wood, micarta and G10. Stag horn is a natural product, so no two knives are identical: pattern, colour and texture vary from one piece to the next. Between handle and blade, there is usually a brass bolster, which also serves as a finger guard.
In the handle there is a shield with the SGB logo, and the scales are held in place by decorative rivets. All fixed SGB hunting knives come with a leather sheath. There is also a folding knife in the series, for anyone who wants the SGB look without a fixed knife on the belt. Puma has now been around for well over 250 years, and SGB is how that craftsmanship stays accessible.
