The **Naniwa Chocera Pro sharpening stone grain 1000** is a sharpening stone that will help you sharpen and maintain the sharpness of the knives you use most. Knives you use most often namely also quickly become blunt. That is why it is also often not necessary to sharpen these knives razor-sharp. For outdoor and pocket knives grain 1000 is perfect if you want to sharpen your knife and maintain that sharpness. The Naniwa Professional series is now called Naniwa Chocera ProYou might be thinking: 'Wasn't that already its name?', and you wouldn't be wrong! This series used to be called Naniwa Chosera. Spelled with an 's'. Just a small change, but don't worry; nothing was changed in terms of quality. The packaging and the print on the sharpening stones are new.

## How to use Naniwa Chocera Pro Stones

The Chocera Pro Stone is made on the basis of bound magnesium. This is a superior production method that ensures the quality of the stones are unparalleled. The Chocera Pro Stones hardly absorb any water to make sure you only have to add some water before use. They don't have to be submerged in water. After use, it is key the stones properly dry at room temperature. Don't allow them to dry on the heater! Once dried store them in a dry, dark place. As such you prevent small cracks.

## About Japanese grain sizes

Sharpening stones are available in different grain sizes. The larger the number, the finer the grain. The finer the grain, the sharper the results. When you start sharpening you start with the coarse grain and continue towards a finer grain. Steps of a factor two to three between the different grain sizes are ideal.

 **Indication for choosing the right sharpening stone:**

  * Grain 200 to 600: suited to restore the edge of blunt knives

  * 800 to 1000: to sharpen and maintain knives that are in good condition

  * Grain 2000 to 3000: for sharper results than upon delivery

  * Grain 5000 to 12000: for razor-sharp results

La différence de finition avec la Shapton #1000 n'est pas flagrante. En revanche, elle forme un lait abrasif (une boue) très abondant(e) qui réjouira tout ceux qui aime patauger. Je suppose que ça fait partie du plaisir. Sans exagérer, même en protégeant mon plan de travail, j'ai du mal à l'endiguer. C'est peut être la couleur qui tranche beaucoup avec le reste mais ça donne l'impression d'être envahissant. Efficace ? Elle est assez rapide pour justifier son prix. Pour ma part je l'associe à la pierre Shapton #1000 qui est un peu plus grossière et je vais rarement au delà pour de la viande 

Fijne steen, snijd snel zonder te grove groeven achter te laten

Perfect voor zeer botte messen maar ook voor het op peil houden van scherpte. Ook al heeft deze steen een korrel van 1000, je kan er je keukenmessen vlijmscherp mee krijgen. ‘t is geen splash-&-go dus je moet m wel even laten weken maar de feedback en snelheid is fantastisch met, vreemd genoeg, een fijner krassenpatroon op de snede dan andere 1000 korrel stenen die ik heb. Na het scherpen even een lederen strop toepassen maakt wel een wereld van verschil. Een aanrader.
