The **Naniwa Chocera Pro sharpening stone grain 2000** is a sharpening stone with which you can restore all your (slightly) blunt knives.

## Naniwa Chocera Pro Collection

The Naniwa Chocera Pro collection is the improved version of the Naniwa Chosera Stones. Naniwa improved the binding agent for the sharpening stones. What is unique is that Naniwa itself produces this binding agent. It is important that this is optimally matched to the grain size. The result is that the Naniwa water stones are better than most sharpening stones produced by other brands, even though the grain size is similar.

## How to use Naniwa Chocera Pro Stones

The Chocera Pro Stone is made on the basis of bound magnesium. This is a superior production method that ensures the quality of the stones are unparalleled. The Chocera Pro Stones hardly absorb any water to make sure you only have to add some water before use. They don't have to be submerged in water. After use, it is key the stones properly dry at room temperature. Don't allow them to dry on the heater! Once dried store them in a dry, dark place. As such you prevent small cracks.

## About Japanese grain sizes

Sharpening stones are available in different grain sizes. The larger the number, the finer the grain. The finer the grain, the sharper the results. When you start sharpening you start with the coarse grain and continue towards a finer grain. Steps of a factor two to three between the different grain sizes are ideal.

 **Indication for choosing the right sharpening stone:**

  * Grain 200 to 600: suited to restore the edge of blunt knives

  * 800 to 1000: to sharpen and maintain knives that are in good condition

  * Grain 2000 to 3000: for sharper results than upon delivery

  * Grain 5000 to 12000: for razor-sharp results
