Mugs
A mug with a handle, for by the fire or at the office. Looking for something without a handle that fits in a cup holder, then take a look at the tumblers.
Features of mugs
A mug has a handle. That sounds trivial, but it determines where you use it: at a table or by a fire, not in a cup holder. You pick it up without putting your hand around the wall, so it can be hotter than a tumbler.
Almost all mugs here are double-walled stainless steel with a lid. The vacuum between the walls keeps the coffee hot and the outside cool. Many mugs sit between 300 and 500 ml, the size that takes one fill of coffee. Above that, you move into travel mug territory.
Some are stackable, which helps if you need to take more than one in a backpack or a crate.
If a handle does not fit in your cup holder, have a look at the tumblers. If you want to see everything side by side first, go to mugs and tumblers.
