With this **Tojiro Zen Black nakiri knife** you introduce your home to a stunning and versatile Japanese vegetable knife. Cutting, chopping, rocking: with the nakiri it will be child's play. Both thin and thick slices of vegetables and fruit are effortlessly cut. 


## Tojiro Zen Black blade


For knives there is always a compromise between hardness (sharp, but brittle and less stainless) and flexible (less sharp and less brittle, more stainless). Tojiro opted for a multi-layer construction. The core is made from VG10 steel surrounded by 13-chrome steel. This leaves you with a unique combination of hardness and a much higher corrosion-resistance than with carbon steel. The black oxidized finish of the blade makes the blade look amazing. 


## Tojiro Zen Black handle


The handle is made from light-weight dark-coloured chestnut wood. It is enhanced with a traditional Japanese D-shape. This is a right-handed knife, but left-handed users won't be bothered by this asymmetry.

Ich habe noch nie ein derartig scharfest Schneidwerkzeug in Händen gehalten. Die Schärfe ist richtiggehend furchterregend und buchstäblich haarespaltend!
Hervorragend verarbeitet, die dunkle Beschichtung sieht nicht so dunkel wie auf dem Produktbild oben aus.
Als Arbeitwerkzeug ist es jedenfalls eizigartig, man sollte jedoch gut aufpassen wenn man nicht gewohnt ist mit derartig scharfen Klingen zu arbeiten.
