This **Spyderco K05SRD paring knife** has a serrated, single-edge grind blade. This makes the knife perfect when cutting tomatoes and small sandwiches. The plastic handle has a nice pattern and a practical thumb stud, for optimal grip.

 ## The SpyderEdge: for a life of cutting pleasure.

 To make sure that this knife retains its sharpness well it has been enhanced with the famous SpyderEdge. The edge has serrations in two different sizes. Because the broad serrations don't wear out as fast as the narrower, pointier serrations, the knife doesn't have to be sharpened as often. A unique quality any Spyderco enthusiast will immediately recognize.

 ## Plastic ergonomic handle

 The red handle is comprised of polypropylene - an extremely sustainable type of plastic - which is directly cast around the tang of the blade. Due to the lack of space between the handle material and the steel bacteria cannot settle in the knife. Incredibly hygienic!

 The main advantage of the handle, however, can be found in the ergonomics. The texture will give you the perfect grip. This, in combination with a pleasant thumb stud and rounded pommel (the end of the handle you put your little finger against) will ensure that your hand won't slip.
