SOG Survival Hawk SK1001-CP

I needed a utility hatchet for odd jobs, camping and didn't want to break the bank. I wasn't expecting much from this apart from loving the look of Tomahawks in general but not really seeing the point. It's really surprised me, first job was to chop up some Christmas trees, which was done with ease. Cleaning & maintain was easy too. The handle is comfortable, the tomahawk itself is light and easy to wield and carry on your belt or back pack. I've used it now for some shavings, light chopping, even hammering in some wooden stakes and so far it's held up great, blade seems fine no dents or chips. Overall pleasantly surprised by this one and would recommend.

This is a good axe if you want something light weight for your backpack for rough camping or hunting. firelighter and para-cord are nice accessories, but my problem is the axe is just too light, for chopping and amount of wood for a fire, you will have to use a tone of effort with this little buddy. Blade is good, but its heavier brother is a better axe the Voodoo Hawk if you dont mind the extra weight.
