The **Smith & Wesson Executive Barlow Assisted** is a modern pocket knife with a traditional design. It is a solid pocket knife for an affordable price. You open Executive Barlow at lightning speed with the flipper, and the assisted opening opens the knife in one quick movement. A sturdy liner lock holds the blade in place so it won't close accidentally during use. 

The sheepsfoot blade is made from 8Cr13MoV steel. This is a tough stainless steel that is easy to sharpen. The handle is made from G10, a solid material that can handle whatever you throw at it. The deep lines in the handle provide you with plenty of grip.

Smith & Wesson produces excellent knives for great prices. There are few brands that can compete with these kinds of prices. However, this does mean that the finish might not always be perfect. Nothing major, and certainly in line with the prices.

Dit mes wordt verkocht als Executive edge. Een heren mes dus.
Dat is het ook, het ontwerp is klassiekerig, de afwerking ongewoon goed voor S &W, de handgreep is G10,  past zelfs in het kleinste zakje van je spijkerbroek of in een overhemdzakje.

Helemaal niet raar om je schoonvader zoiets te voorschijn te zien halen bij een picknick.

Totdat je ‘m zelf in handen hebt en merkt dat die assisted opening zorgt voor een onontkoombaar knipmes gevoel. 

Maakt dat het onschuldige mesje alles behalve onschuldig voelt.
Misschien zelfs gevaarlijk.

En dat is fun. Dat wil je niet missen toch?



Mooi mes, uitstekende prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Assisted opening is een tikkeltje moeizaam dus je moet er even aan wennen, maar na een paar dagen heb je de techniek echt wel onder de knie. Het mes is een fijne grote en uit ervaring kan in zeggen dat het door het design erg makkelijk is om er zand uit schoon te maken. Een mooie 9/10.
