The **Böker Magnum Hero pocket knife** is a practical pocket knife with various rescue tools. This knife is a tribute to all the police officers who risk their lives every day to save the lives of others. 

The Hero is an EDC pocket knife with assisted opening. This means a spring mechanism assists with the opening of the blade. You push the blade outwards with the flipper or thumb studs and then the spring helps to launch it open at breakneck speed. When opened, the blade is kept in place by a liner lock.

In addition to the stainless steel blade, this knife has a cutting hook to quickly and safely cut things like car seat belts. The knife also has a glass breaker on the back for breaking a car window in the event of an emergency.

## Böker Magnum Hero blade

The partly serrated blade is made from 440A steel. This type of steel doesn't retain its sharpness for a super long time, but this is compensated by the fact that it is incredibly tough. As a result, it won't break easily during heavy jobs, and it's easy to sharpen. In practice this means that you have to do a little maintenance regularly, so you always have a sharp knife with you. 

## Böker Hero handle

The handle is made from blue aluminium. The dotted finish provides a unique, rugged look with plenty of grip. There is a S.W.A.T. logo on the side of the knife.

Fijn mes voor dagelijks gebruik ter vervanging van een ander mes van K&T waar ik jaren mee heb gedaan. Ik verbaaste me eigenlijk over hoeveel waar je voor je geld krijgt met dit mes. Het wordt geleverd in een net doosje en zit degelijk in elkaar. Ik moest even wennen aan het veermechanisme wat maakt dat ik het mes een beetje vreemd moet vasthouden bij het openen. Als ik het mes open met de duim, opent het soms niet helemaal hard genoeg waardoor ie niet geborgd zit, maar misschien is dat een kwestie van wennen en er rekening mee houden. Met de wijsvinger gaat ie snel open door de veer en blokkeert ie ook meteen netjes. Ik ben blij met mijn aankoop en vind em erg mooi. 

Super fijn en sterk mes. En vooral heel scherp uit de doos. Leuk om mee te spelen. En een ode aan alle hulpverleners. En niet te vergeten super goede en snelle service
