The **Ochsenkopf OX 235 E-0602 felling axe** is a practical axe. The perfect axe to take with you in your backpack when you go camping, but also suited as a hand axe to make kindle or when working in the garden or woods. This axe is flexible in use and light-weight (only 600 grams). The axe head is razor-sharp. The edge is even polished! This axe comes with a leather sheath to protect the cutting edge.

 ## Ochsenkopf OX 235 E-0602 axe head

 The axe head is forged from C60 steel. This steel is characterized by its toughness and long life. The handle is made from ash wood.

 ## Maintenance Ochsenkopf axe

 The right maintenance extends the life of your axe. For that reason you should always correctly store your tools. A storage place that is too dry will dry out the handle. However, a storage place that is too humid will make the handle swell which could, in time, damage the fibres of the wood. If you are planning to store your axe for a longer period of time it is wise to protect the cutting surface from rust. All you have to do is apply a little bit of oil or fat on the cutting surface. Afterwards protect the edge with, for instance, a sheath and you are good to go.
