The **Condor Heritage** is a versatile all-around hand axe. Designed for both the experienced axe thrower and the outdoor enthusiast looking for an axe for light chopping tasks. Like gathering wood or building a fire. The simple design gives the axe a traditional look. 

The axe head is made from 1060 carbon steel This means that the axe head is not corrosion resistant. So always keep it dry. Yet many people take the lack of corrosion resistance in stride, as it also has a number of advantages. It is fairly easy to keep carbon steel razor-sharp, and it won't break as easily as other similar axes made from stainless steel. The edge has a convex grind. That means that the grind is round. The special thing about convex grinds is that there is no longer a secondary edge, but that the grind moves straight to the cutting edge. A convex grind has a strong edge that also cuts smoothly.

The handle is made from very strong burnt Hickory wood. The axe handle has a rough surface, so you'll have a good grip. The handle is branded with the Condor logo, a nice touch.
