The **Böker Bowie 121547 N690** is a large bowie knife, made in Solingen Germany. For a knife of this size the Böker Bowie is wonderfully elegant. The graceful clippoint and s-shaped knife guard make it look very cool.

 Originally Bowie knives were used for many different outdoor tasks. For hunting purposes, of course, but also as an all-round knife in the countryside of the western United States. Today bowie knives are real collector's items. This, however, doesn't change the fact that Böker produced this knife to be used.

 The blade is made from a thick sheet of Böhler N690 steel. This is a strong, stainless type of steel that retains its sharpness well and is also easy to sharpen. The handle is made from dark oak wood. Nice and classic.

 The Böker Bowie 121547 comes in a nice leather sheath. In true 'Western style' the sheath is also enhanced with a belt loop with laces.

 All in all the Böker Bowie is a stunning top-quality fixed knife. The highlight of every collection.

J'avais déjà le modèle avec les plaquettes en bois de cerf. Couteau impressionnant, d'une grande qualité. L'avantage des plaquettes en chêne c'est la finition symétrique, j'avais été déçu par les plaquettes bois de cerf mal assorties et biscornues (rien à voir avec la photo du site ...). Bref très bonne prise en main, un tranchant assez exceptionnel, le tout habillé avec un très bel étui en cuir de qualité.
Très bel objet de collection, mais également conçu pour sevir vu sa solidité et son efficacité. Attention tout de même, c'est un grand gabarit!!
