The **QSP Knife Parrot** is a compact and great pocket knife, for a great price. A real all-rounder great for many DIY tasks. Put it in your pocket during your chores and you will notice how often it can come in handy. You quickly open it with one hand with the double thumb stud and because of the linerlock your fingers will be safe.

The blade is made from D2. This is a tough type of tool steel that retains its sharpness well. You can also easily sharpen D2. Do pay attention around moisture and acids: D2 is not as stainless as certain corrosion resistant types of steel. So make sure you clean and dry it after use.

The handle of this knife is made from denim micarta. A composite material made from denim and synthetic resin. Rock-solid, lightweight and it feels great in hand.

Schalen zijn van grippy Denim Micarta die bij gebruik wat gladder worden en die een mooi kleur verschil krijgen . De pivot en stelschroeven heb ik moeten voorzien van Böker locktide om goed te kunne afstellen. Nu zit het lemmet in het midden en flipt het heel soepel. Even strobben en het was ready to go.
Een aanrader, zeker voor die prijs.

Surprisingly good

Acheté en promotion à 28,80€, ce couteau s'avère d'un rapport qualité/prix exceptionnel. Le toucher doux du micarta est très agréable et la lame (très bien centrée) bénéficie d'un affûtage d'usine d'une rare qualité. Les platines et le liner lock sont assez minces, mais cela ne nuit pas au fonctionnement ni apparemment à la solidité de l'ensemble. Je craignais que les washers ne permettent pas une ouverture aussi fluide que des roulements à billes, mais en fait ça fonctionnement très très bien. En sortie de boîte, la lame ne se déploie pas facilement, mais après un petit rodage (une mini goute d'huile et une vingtaine d'ouvertures) et le mouvement devient tout simplement parfait : déploiement très fluide, joli son de verrouillage et absolument zéro jeu dans la lame.
Bref : je ne pense pas que pour moins de 30€ on puisse trouver mieux !
Le seul bémol à mon avis pourrait être la forme du manche et cette coupure abrupte à l'arrière... À mon sens le couteau aurait gagné en esthétique si cette coupure avait été en écho à la courbe de l'émouture à la base de la lame... QSP devrait me consulter pour le design ! ^^

Le rapport qualité prix est bluffant pour une finition plutôt soignée et des plaquettes en micarta très réussies.
