The **KA-BAR BK22 Companion** is one of the heaviest knives in our range. This knife can handle its own. The blade is 6.6 mm thick and made from 1095-carbon steel. This steel, however, is not corrosion-resistant. Fortunately the blade is enhanced with a black coating to make sure maintenance is a lot easier. Thanks to its thickness and the forgiving features of the 1095-steel this knife can handle almost anything: it is pretty much impossible to break. In addition, the knife is easy to sharpen which is why this knife is so incredibly popular. 

 The comfortable handle is made from Zytel. A durable light-weight and strong type of plastic. Because of its size the BK2 can also be easily be used if you have large hands or when wearing gloves. At the end of the handle a part of the steel tang is sticking out, which you can use as an improvised hammer.

 The nylon sheath with a belt loop is included. This allows you to attach the KA-BAR BK22 to your belt

 The KA-BAR BK22 is exactly the same as the BK2, the only difference is the sheath.

Super gros couteau qui respire la solidité, et prise en main superbe. Ames sensibles s abstenir, il est juste incroyable, il fait tout. Concurrent direct du esee 5, mais le manche du esee d origine est moins ergonomique pour travailler. 
J'ai remplacé les plaquettes d origine par celles en micarta qui le rend encore plus beau et pour plus de grip. Je commande sur knives and tools évidement. Aucun problème, et ils sont là, à l écoute si besoin. 

I’ve been using the BK22 for a while now, and honestly, it’s become one of my go-to knives for camping and general outdoor stuff. It’s solid, feels great in the hand, and the 1095 Cro-Van steel blade holds up well to tough use. I’ve used it for batoning wood, food prep, and even some light chopping—it handles it all without fuss.

The handle is comfortable, even after long use, and while the nylon sheath does the job, I might eventually upgrade to something a bit sturdier. Still, for the price, this knife is a beast and feels like it’ll last forever.

Not trying to sound like an expert or anything, but if you’re looking for a dependable outdoor knife, the BK22 is worth checking out.
