The **Fox Knives Chnops** is a stunning gentleman's knife with a minimalist design and chic look. Its slim profile is striking. When closed, the blade almost completely disappears into the handle. As such, the Chnops is quite compact, in spite of its size.

## Fox Knives Chnops design

The knife was designed by Riccardo Gobbato, and this is one of his first production designs. And he did a fantastic job! It's not often that a relatively new designer comes up with such a strong design. How we're supposed to pronounce 'Chnops' remains a mystery, but we do know what it stands for. It is an acronym for the most common elements of stainless steel (Carbon, Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Oxygen, Phosphorus and Sulphur).

## Chnops type of steel

This version of the Chnops features a blade made from Böhler M390. A premium type of steel from Austria, which is very popular at the moment. And for good reason! It has a fantastic sharpness retention, is extremely stainless and it's easy to sharpen. In short: a great choice. You open the blade with the frontflipper, and the liner lock keeps the blade securely in place. The liner lock is beautifully crafted into the handle.

This version of the Chnops features a handle made from OD-Green micarta. OD-Green micarta is extremely lightweight and has a luxurious feel to it. You can easily carry this knife with the deep-carry pocket clip. The pocket clip can be worn on your left or your right side.

Fantastisch mooi mes. Heel fijn is de pal, zodat het lemmet niet ongewenst(!) kan dichtklappen. De clip om het ergens boven een zak of pocket op te hangen is stevig en stoer. Hier ga ik nog heel lang plezier van hebben. 

Schönes hochwertiges Messer in top Qualität.Sehr stabil und optisch ein Traum. Einziger Minuspunkt meiner Meinung nach ist der minimalistische Flipper der keine Profilierung hat.Er bedarf einiges an Übung um das Messer elegant zu öffnen

Fijn, klein zakmes...mooie vormgeving, en prima service!

Een hele mooie mes, netjes afgewerkt. Toch een beetje stroef in het begin, maar na wat gebruik gaat het een stuk soepeler. Het lemmet is niet goed gecentreerd en komt tegen de micarta hendel aan, waardoor het lemmet een klein beetje beschadigd werd. Ik zelf heb geen idee hoe je een mes goed centreert, dus na was schuren aan het micarta handvat lijkt het opgelost. Voor de rest een fijne, degelijk, en prettig in de hand liggende mes.
