Diamond paste used for achieving the ultimate sharpening result by means of stropping.


After you sharpened a knife on an extra fine stone, your knife will be razor sharp. For the fan of the truly ultimate sharpness there is the possibility to completely polish your knife by means of so-called stropping. This is done by using diamond paste you apply to a leather strop. Where most sharpeners perform the stropping on a stone after the sharpening, some of them also choose to use strops in order to maintain the sharpness of the knife. In case there is no leather strop available, also a piece of cardboard or, for example, MDF or balsa wood can be used.  
  


You apply a very small amount of diamond paste and gently polish the edge of your knife. In principle you move away from the edge in order to prevent cutting your strop.

Easy to sprend on leather. Does its job : refining, polishing the edge after sharpening. A coarse stone, a good technique and this diamond paste can lead to an excellent edge. 

Die Paste macht was sie soll und trägt Material ab. Solang man vor der Nutzung den Grat ausreichend minimiert, trägt sie gut zur Schärfe bei. Beispielsweise Sharpal 325/1200 + 6 Mikron Diamantpaste auf einem günstigen Abziehleder reicht immer für eine einfache Rasierschärfe. Natürlich könnte man mit weiteren Abstufungen verbessern/verfeinern. 

Excellent in removing the burr. More consistent than usuall green chromium oxide stuff. 

Super Diamantpaste, Ideal fürs Stropping.
Auch auf Leder gut verwendbar. Ist zwar ziemlich teuer, aber dafür langlebiger als z. B. Chromium Paste. Daher in Summe nicht viel teurer, aber im Ergebnis nicht zu toppen.
