The **TOPS Backpacker's Bowie** is a fixed blade designed for hikers. When you go hiking, you simply need a knife. At the same time, you never want to take too much weight with you. That's why this TOPS has equipped this Backpacker’s Bowie with a functional blade, but kept the weight pleasantly low.



With a blade length of 11.5 cm, the TOPS Knives Backpacker's Bowie is big enough for many camping tasks. Starting a fire, splitting kindling and even building a shelter is no problem for this knife. The round micarta handle fits comfortably in hand and the finger grooves give you a good grip.



The blade is made from 1095 carbon steel, which is a fairly tough steel that's also easy to sharpen. You do have to be careful about rust though: 1095 can blemish quickly. That's why maintenance is important. There is a notch on the spine of the blade which you can use as a wire breaker, or to lift the handle of your pan from the fire.



The TOPS Backpacker’s Bowie comes with a handy Kydex sheath. This sheath has a rotatable steel clip. You can hang it from your belt, or on the outside of your bag.
