The **Rough Ryder Canoe** is a cool, traditional pocket knife. Characterizing for the Canoe is that the bolsters protrude a little. As such the sharp edges at the tang of the blades is nicely covered when the knife is closed. This model is enhanced with two pen blades. You open both with two hands and a slipjoint prevents unintentional closing, even though it won't completely lock the blades. As such you can legally carry this pocket knife in many places in Europe.

## 440A steel

440A is a fine, popular type of steel. It is corrosion resistant and easy to sharpen. It won't retain its sharpness for a really long time, but this is compensated by the fact that 440A is quite tough and easy to sharpen. This means you only occasionally have to maintain it a little to make sure you always keep a sharp knife close.

## Brown Burlap handle

The handle is made from Brown Burlap Micarta. This micarta made from burlap. Layers of textile on top of each other, drenched in a strong resin to make sure it becomes strong enough to function as handle material. The Brown Burlap micarta makes the whole look very classy. It looks amazing!

Of course this means you sometimes need to compromise which means that occasionally you could find there to be something wrong with the finish. Nothing major, and definitely in line with the prices. In case of natural materials such as wood, bone and horn it is possible to end up with small scratches around the pins. It is simply a part of the deal in this price range.

La navaja es preciosa, con un diseño tradicional y elegante que a muchos nos gusta. Las hojas tienen un vaciado cóncavo, que se eleva ligeramente al llegar al filo, y un satinado corto. Aunque el micro bisel no es perfecto, viene muy bien afilada de fabrica. 
Los uñeros son muy largos, pero favorece la estética, aunque su posición está algo alejada del filo; esto hace que no sea tan cómodo abrirla, si bien proporciona un falso contrafilo más largo en la punta y aumenta la separación entre las hojas. Los acabados son buenos y los ajustes, bastante correctos. El slipjoint tiene parada a 90° y es algo más fuerte en la hoja pequeña.
Traía suciedad en las espigas y un poco en el interior, por lo cual se hizo necesaria una buena limpieza y engrase.
El tamaño es ideal para llevarla encima. Ha sido una compra muy acertada que ha superado mis expectativas.
