Time to switch to stone paper, I’d say. The layout has changed completely and no longer looks like the photos. It looks messy and cluttered, which is the last thing you want in an emergency where time is critical. There’s no room for your own notes anymore, and the second page is printed the wrong way round. You have to keep turning the notebook over, you lose time, and you can even end up disoriented. You lose focus; this rubbish could cost lives. And then the quality of the paper and printing: what is this meant to be? The paper has become porous and dull. Where’s the wax coating? Where’s that satin sheen? The paper is absolutely nowhere near as water-resistant as it used to be. It wrinkles much faster, droplets soak in, and it tears quickly — and at this price! If you’re not buying this as a gadget but for emergency use, then this can cost lives, you can take that from me. And of course all of this is done to maximise profit under the guise of more eco-friendly paper. No more Rite in the Rain for me — that much is clear.
