The **Fällkniven TH1 Taiga Hunter** is a very cool outdoor knife. When camping, hiking, for hunting or bushcraft purposes: this is an amazing knife. As you might expect from a fixed Fällkniven knife the blade is enhanced with a convex edge. As such it is amazing to use. Less cutting resistance, more fun!



The blade is made from renowned CoS steel. This means that the CoS core is placed in between two layers of softer, more stainless steel. As such the blade can handle a lot more. You can easily sharpen the CoS core and it will retain its sharpness for a long time.



## Fällkniven’s convex grind


Like all fixed Fällkniven knives this knife was enhanced with a convex grind. This has important advantages. A convex edge, for instance, can be sharpened razor-sharp, is relatively stong and offers less cutting resistance. The 'shoulders' that are usually located on a regular v-edge in the transition from the edge to the side of the blade, are missing. As such using a convex edge is absolutely amazing. The handle is made from Desert Ironwood. An extremely heavy and hard type of wood. The stunning grain in the wood is often nicely visible and can vary from straight to root-like curled. Remarkable about this *desert iron wood* is that it often contains a nice deep glow. Like there is depth in the wood. Stunning. This version is also numbered on the spine of the blade.



This Fällkniven Taiga comes with a Zytel sheath. Fällkniven enhanced it with an additional retention lever. With it you can secure the knife in the sheath. As such it won't rattle, and you won't lose it.

Ist schon eine ganz schön kostspielige Anschaffung. Jedoch ist es wirklich ein Hingucker.
Leider sticht mir das Ende bei härteren arbeiten in den Handballen. Sonst ist der Griff einwandfrei.
