The **Condor Cojang Jungle Machete CTK2014-20.7HC** is a relatively large machete, designed by Joe Flowers. And with relatively long we mean: gigantic. The total length is 70 cm! 

The design is based by the machetes that are used in Sumatra. When you look at the handle you can clearly see that the end was optimized to stay in your hand during the more demanding tasks. And it should when you look at such an impressive blade length.

The blade is made from 1075 carbon steel. This is a strong steel that is easy to sharpen, and can also take quite a beating. 1075, however, is not completely stainless. As such you need to clean it regularly and add a drop of oil once in a while. The handle is made from walnut wood. It comes in a solid leather sheath with a belt loop.

Condor makes knives that are meant to be used. There might be aspects of the finish that aren't perfect. But this makes sense for the knives that Condor produces - knives that are supposed to get used. Especially when you consider the attractive prices, which they are definitely worth!

Très déçu par cette machette.
Manche trop fin et glissant. Fourreau peu pratique.
Mais surtout : acier carbone 1075 trop tendre ou bien il s’agit d’un défaut de mise en œuvre de l’acier carbone lors de sa fabrication. (Produit d’importation d’Amérique du sud).
Après une seule utilisation d’une heure à couper des massifs de ronces le fil entier de la lame est ébréché.
Pourtant la la lame fait 6 mm d’épaisseur.
Pour un article de plus de 150 euros c’est vraiment dommage.
Le service clientèle me répond par mail que ce n’est pas couvert par la garantie et que je dois maintenant utiliser une pierre à aiguiser qu’il vende sur leur site !
En outre : le numéro de téléphone de contact clientèle  +33975188128 est inopérant. Impossible de les joindre.
Conclusion : procédure en cours. (1er et dernier achat sur ce site).

Très belle machette avec des dimensions conséquentes (lame de 53cm)
Un equilibre en tête pour un tranchant assez vif.
le manche, en bois, est agréable.
La lame brute est de belle facture et le tranchant est parfait.
Une belle machette pour un prix raisonnable.
Seul "bémol", le fourreau n'est pas terrible et pas très fonctionnel. Difficile a accrocher a un sac, car se promener avec un machette de cette taille a la ceinture ne sera pas aisé.
