The **Bark River Shining Mountain Bowie Ivory G10** is a large and impressive bowie knife. Truly a knife that will bring a smile to your face whenever you hold it. The design was inspired by the world-famous Iron Mistress bowie from John Nelson Cooper. 

The blade is made from A2 tool steel. A strong type of steel that would rather bend than break. You do, however, need to be careful with moisture and acids: A2 is not completely stainless. Make sure to clean the knife after use and occasionally apply a drop of oil to keep it in great shape. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can maintain by [stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).

The handle of the Bark River Shining Mountain Bowie is made from G10. A strong and light-weight material made from fibreglass and synthetic resin. The light texture feels great in hand and offers you enough grip. The handle is flanked on both sides by a knife guard made from aluminium and a pommel. The amount of manual labour involved is unimaginable for a (semi-)production knife such as this.

The Bark River Shining Mountain Bowie comes with a luxurious leather belt sheath.

Bark River Knives makes all of its knives almost entirely by hand. This means that each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials, a knife will have a unique look.
