The **Bark River North Country EDC III** is a fixed knife, with a nice round belly. A larger version of the popular North Country EDC. Almost two centimetres more blade length, and a slightly larger handle. As such the North Country EDC 2 looks a little more balanced. Because of its curved belly it is great as a hunting knife, but you can even use it as a general outdoor knife or even as an outdoor EDC knife!



The blade is made from CPM S45VN. A premium type of stainless steel that retains its sharpness well. As you might expect from Bark River the knife is razor-sharp. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can maintain by [stropping it](/en/ct/stropping.htm).



The handle is made from canvas micarta. A strong and light-weight material, made from linen and synthetic resin. Feels comfortable in hand, even in wet or cold circumstances.



The Bark River North Country EDC II comes with a leather belt sheath. It is enhanced with a strong magnet that will ensure the knife stays in place. The sheath can be carried on your belt on both the left and right side. 



Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
