The Zero Tolerance 0044 Button Lock CPM S45VN, Titanium, pocket knife opens quickly thanks to the flipper. Because the knife is equipped with ceramic ball bearings, the action is very smooth. ## Blade made of CPM S45VN steel
The blade of this Zero Tolerance  is made of CPM S45VN steel. This is a premium type of stainless steel made by Crucible Industries in the US. S45VN retains its sharpness well, is pretty tough and very corrosion resistant. CPM S45VN  was developed as a successor to CPM S35VN. S45VN retains its sharpness even better than S35VN, and is even more resistant to corrosion too.



## Titanium handle

The handle of this Zero Tolerance  is made of titanium and measures 11 cm in length. Titanium is a fantastic high-tech material. It is an excellent choice for the handle of a pocket knife for several reasons: titanium is very strong, lightweight and it is flexible. Moreover, titanium can be machined very precisely and a wide range of different finishes are possible. To be exact, the handle is made of a titanium alloy. Small amounts of aluminium and vanadium are added to pure titanium to make it even more suitable for use as a pocket knife handle.

Primo ZT che acquisto in un momento ottimo e risparmiando anche un pò, per il prezzo al quale l'ho preso posso dire che ne è valsa la pena, lo avessi dovuto pagare a prezzo pieno non lo avrei mai acquistato, già faccio fatica a credere che valga quanto l'ho pagato, figuriamoci a prezzo pieno... una follia! capisco il made in USA, il livello di precisione nelle rifiniture, i materiali... ma niente che non possa fare addirittura meglio un qualsiasi brand cinese a metà prezzo, comunque in generale un bel coltello, un netto cambio di rotta per un brand che ormai sembrava dimenticato o addirittura ignorato, io sinceramente ho ignorato questo brand per anni, non faceva mai uscire nulla che mi attraesse veramente. Finalmente ZT ha tirato fuori qualcosa di davvero interessante per me, quando si tratta di tirare fuori una bella cifra si guarda ogni singolo dettaglio e stavolta ZT è stata brava, piccola nota di demerito: all'inizio faceva uno strano rumore di sfregamento ma dopo averlo smontato, pulito a fondo e lubrificato con un buon olio il rumore è scomparso e la lama scorre fluida e veloce. Metto solo 4 stelle in generale per via di questo piccolo difetto che ho comunque risolto ma per la cifra pagata sinceramente gira un pò le scatole averci dovuto mettere mano praticamente da nuovo. Questo coltello promosso sicuramente ma dubito acquisterò altri prodotti ZT in futuro, a meno che non abbassino i prezzi drasticamente, una possibilità molto remota credo.
