The **TSPROF Blitz Kadet TS-SH2000740 set of diamond-coated sharpening stones** is comprised of five different diamond-coated sharpening stones for the TSPROF Blitz and TSPROF Kadet sharpening system. Diamond-coated sharpening stones are unique because of the speed at which they remove material compared to ceramic or natural sharpening stones. The diamond particles are added to a steel sheet by means of a galvanic compound. At first the stones feel coarse, but will end up with their actual grit after having been used a couple times. The diamond layer on this sharpening stones is relatively thin. To enjoy the stones as long as possible we recommend not applying too much pressure during use. Let the stone do the work!

This set contains TSPROF diamond-coated sharpening stones with the following grain sizes:

  * F150 (J170) grit: suited to fix extremely blunt or even damaged knives. This sharpening stone is also great when changing the sharpening angle.
  * F220 (J240) grit: this sharpening stone is great when sharpening a very blunt edge. 
  * F400 (J700) grit: to define a sharp edge and to remove deep scratches.
  * F600 (J1200) grit: to sharpen the edge and remove visible scratches. This is a good grain size to end with when sharpening pocket knives and outdoor knives you use on a daily basis.
  * F1000 (J2800) grit: for razor-sharp results. This grain size is great for kitchen knives or pocket knives you need to be razor-sharp.

## Use and maintenance

The stones don't need water or oil. You can use water or oil to reduce friction and get rid of metal particles. So in the end it comes down to personal preference! As you use them the sharpening stones can be contaminated with metal particles. Fortunately you can easily remove those with hot water and a sponge.

I used different types of sharpening stones, but these seems to be the best solution so far, at least for me. I recommend especially for high end steels. In this circumstances it is not necessary to mention the fact that are excellent for common knives in kitchen.
