Compact mandoline for slicing and cutting à julienne.

The Microplane Specialties Hand mandoline is a compact and affordable alternative for a large mandoline. Cutting slices with a thickness from 1 to 3 mm is child's play with this mandoline. These thicknesses are easily adjusted with the slide on the edge of the blade. The julienne knife produces strips that are 3 mm wide. You set up the thickness of the strips with the same slide you use to set up the thickness of the slices. 

Won't use the julienne knife? Simply click it into a second holder underneath the mandoline. As such you can always keep it close, in case you do need it.

To keep your fingers safe you also receive a plastic pushing cap. This allows you to move vegetables and fruit over the blades with the help of the cap.

Mooi, doet wat ie moet doen. Wel even uitvogelen hoe alles zit.

Deze mandoline-rasp van Microplane valt er tegen. Het gebruikte plastic materiaal lijkt erg breekbaar en voelt erg breekbaar aan. De dikte-instelling met het plastic schuifje vergrendelt niet en is daardoor erg instabiel.
Over de Microplane raspen ben ik erg tevreden maar deze mandoline-rasp lijkt een slechte aankoop te zijn, erg jammer.
