The Live Fire Gear Original Fire Starter is a very practical tool to start a fire regardless of the circumstances. It is basically a metal container with highly flammable, waterproof tinder.



You use this fire starter by opening the lid. The further you open it, the bigger the flame will be which you can use to start a fire. With a knife or other sharp object you can roughen up the surface of the yellow flammable material to expose the fibres. With a firesteel, lighter or match you light the flammable material and place the container with flame underneath some wood. As soon as the wood starts to burn and your fire is properly lit you remove the fire starter and close the lid to extinguish it. As such you can use the Original Fire Starter more often to light more fires.
