The **KA-BAR 1266 Modified Tanto** is the Asian inspired brother of the famous KA-BAR USMC. The knife is enhanced with the same characteristics, but with a modified tanto-blade. The knife is big and feels very strong. The handle is enhanced with a knife guard to make sure you will never end up on the razor-sharp edge during heavy-duty use.

 The blade is made from 1095-carbon steel. This steel, however, is not corrosion-resistant. Fortunately the blade is enhanced with a black coating to make sure maintenance is a lot easier. What do you get in return? It is incredibly strong and tough. As such it can really handle its own.

 The KA-BAR 1266 comes with a leather sheath in order to easily carry it with you. It is enhanced with a royal belt loop.

Pas de surprise, c'est du très lourd. 
Couteau imposant en main, fait bien son poids avec une prise en main excellente. Un étui qui remplit parfaitement son rôle, rien ne bouge et ça respire la solidité. 

Ouf, une merveille ! Un peu cher, oui, mais c'est une œuvre d'art ! Plus long que le Ka-Bar de base, lourd comme il faut, un profil de dingue... Il arrive très aiguisé bien sûr mais on peut toujours faire un petit peu mieux ! Enfin, on se rase le bras (pour ceux qui font ça, ahem) en sortie de boîte hein.
L'étui est super sécurisé, même sans les boutons le couteau ne sortira pas (facilement). Le couteau peut sembler difficile à sortir au début mais c'est un coup à prendre; en tout cas quand il est rangé il tient, pas de mouvement du tout.
Si vous cherchez un couteau bushcraft il y a mieux (vu que ce n'est pas son but); si vous cherchez à satisfaire votre addiction aux lames sublimes c'est le top. Je me répète : une œuvre d'art !
