You can hear saplings rattle with fear every time this bad boy gets out of its sheath. The cutting edge, for the knife's sze, is not much bigger than that of for example a SRK. The latter also makes you look slightly less of a nutter. But if you plan a hike where you are not likely to encounter people make sure to pack this thing. You will not regret it. Does all the camping stuff, woodwork and you can use it as entertainment. Use it as a throwing knife, or for a treecutting competition, or as a shovel, or as a step-up/perch when rammed into a treetrunk. 
For the fans of 'son's of anarchy'. If there ever was a knife build to ram trough a car radiator, I rekon it's this one.
