The **Böker Plus Dvalin Folder Tanto 01BO549** is a cool pocket knife, designed by Dirk Hofmeister from Midgards Messer. You can see this knife as the sidekick to the Little Dvalin, a fixed knife. Use it to open boxes, to cut paper to pieces, during a picnic, in the kitchen, as a backup in your backpack: it will come in handy everywhere. The hollows on the sides function as a nailnick to open the pocket knife. The jimping on the top of the blade provide a good grip for more precise cutting tasks. A framelock locks the blade when in use. 

## D2 steel blade

The blade is made from D2 steel. This is a strong type of steel that retains its sharpness well and is also easy to sharpen. The stonewashed finish gives the knife its tough look. 

## G10 handle

The handle is made from G10. This is a composite material made from glass fibres and synthetic resin. A versatile material because it offers you enough grip, whether your hands are dry or wet or if you are wearing gloves.

Outstanding knife, love it . Perfect weight 

Het is een zeer stevig en erg mooi afgewerkt mes. Alles sluit naadloos op elkaar aan en er is niet bezuinigd op staal. Het snijgedeelte vind ik niet netjes geslepen, niet zo strak als de rest van het ontwerp en ook niet zo scherp als bijv een mes van Kizer maar daar kan wat aan gedaan worden. Lock-up percentage zit bij mij op 40% waardoor je verzekerd bent van een stevige lock-up. In het begin opent het mes een beetje stroef maar na een tijdje gaat de stroefheid er vanaf en is het mes met 1 hand te openen middels een inverse flick via de geul of door een front flip. Het geluid, het gevoel en de degelijkheid maakt het een verslavend mes. Door de tanto uitvoering heb je maar een klein snij-gedeelte maargoed, tanto is gewoon het mooist dus daar moet je dan maar iets op inleveren. wanneer het mes met 1 hand wilt sluiten vind ik dat er wat scherpe hoekjes zijn die je voelt wanneer je het stevig vast wilt houden. Bij de originele Dvalin zit dat punt wat lager op het handvat waardoor je daar geen last van hebt. 1 heel groot nadeel is de pocket clip. Het mest steekt voor 40% uit je broekzak, erg onpraktisch ontworpen. Er zijn praktischere messen maar daar koop je deze ook niet voor. Het is lekker stevig en zeer geschikt om iets door te prikken of voor het ruige snijwerk door de uitmuntende grip die je hebt met dit mes.
