The **Benchmade Bugout 535FE-05 Crater Blue** is a special edition of the famous Bugout. Originating from a collection of knives for which Benchmade used nature as a starting point. The colour composition of the blade and the handle, of this version, has a nautical theme. The dark blue handle represents the icy depths of the sea, and the Flat Dark Earth Cerakote blade finish the adjacent shoreline.

Other than that this special Bugout is exactly as you have grown accustomed to from the original. The Bugout was designed for hikers who pay attention to every gram. With 55 grams and an 8.2 cm blade, this knife is definitely the answer they have been looking for. The Bugout is ideal for preparing food, feather sticks to light your fire and opening packages.

The blade is made from CPM S30V steel with a hardness of 58-60 HRC. With a very thin edge. Perfectly sharpened for peeling an apple. CPM S30V is very stainless and retains its sharpness very well. It is also easy to sharpen.

The handle is made from Grivory. A light-weight type of plastic that is remarkably strong for its weight. The knife features steel liners at the front of the handle for additional strength around the lock.

The Benchmade Bugout is enhanced with a slightly shorter deep-carry pocket clip than you have seen before on most models. Less steel means less weight: another detail that was carefully thought through. You can place the clip on either side, making it the perfect knife for both left-handed and right-handed use.​

Ich habe nach einem schlanken , leichten Taschenmesser gesucht. Das Bugout entspricht allen Vorraussetzungen! Leicht , Stabil , Schneidfreudig und Optisch sehr ansprechend.
Ja, die Griffschallen lassen sich zusammendrücken, aber nicht kaputt zu bekommen, auch nicht bei etwas härterer Belastung.

Wat een mes, zo scherp, zo licht! Je merkt nauwelijks dat je ‘m bij je hebt. Ik moet regelmatig checken of ik ‘m echt nog bij me heb. Een beetje aan de dure kant maar dan heb je wel wat. Lifesharp Services in Nederland is geen optie denk ik? Ik vind opsturen naar de USA niet echt fijn. 

Ein sehr schönes Messer, leicht und sehr gut verarbeitet! Das Griffmaterial ist etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, weil es wirklich sehr leicht ist. Ein perfektes EDC, nicht zum Bäumefällen, aber das muss es auch nicht. Richtig geiles Teil!

Très bon EDC, se fait oublier au fond de la poche.

Premier Bugout pour moi, j'adore le coloris, le cerakote tien bien les rayures.
Très léger s'oublie dans la poche.
