The **Xin Cutlery XinCraft XC132 chef's knife** is a remarkably graceful Japanese-style kitchen knife. The blade is made from 67 layers of Damascus steel and a core of Japanese VG10 steel. VG10 is a great type of steel for both pocket knives and kitchen knives. Rock-solid and easy to sharpen. The damascus is enhanced with a cross pattern. Stunning and almost unheard of that we can sell a knife with this type of damascus steel for this price. An almost unparalleled price-quality ratio. 

At least as special is the way the blade is sharpened. This knife is namely enhanced with a flat grind with a convex edge instead of a traditional V-edge. The handle is made from spalted maple. This is maple wood enhanced with dark veins in the light wood as the result of a fungus. Don't worry, if the wood is properly dried the fungus will stop growing. The wood is stabilized with a blue-coloured synthetic resin. As such the material is sustainable and incredibly beautiful. A real eye-catcher. As cherry on top a small copper sheet is placed in between the blade and handle. This does not only look great. It also evenly divides the weight.
