Angle meter to establish the exact sharpening angle.

With this digital angle meter you can find the exact sharpening angle of the Wicked Edge sharpening system. Because the angle does not only depend on the setting of the guide rod, but also the height of the blade, you can only find the exact angle by using this angle meter. This precision instrument determines the set angle with a precision of 0.1°. The aluminum casing is equipped with a magnet. Ideal to attach the meter somewhere if necessary.

Ich habe mir den Wicked Edge Angle Cube zur Erweiterung zum Wicked Edge Go System gekauft. Das Gerät wirkt hochwertig verarbeitet (Gehäuse ist aus Metal) und funktioniert einwandfrei. Die Bedienung ist sehr einfach. Um die Baterie (9V beiliegend) einzulegen, muss die Klappe mit einem kleinen Schraubenzieher aufgeschraubt werden. Dieser liegt auch dabei, praktischer wäre allerdings eine Klappe für die man kein Werkzeug benötigen würde. Besonders praktisch ist, dass der Cube seitlich Magneten besitzt, sodass man ihn einfach an den Schleifriegeln andocken kann und man keine dritte Hand beim einstellen des Winkels benötigt. Es liegt übrigens auch eine kleine Tasche zur Aufbewahrung bei. Der Preis ist recht hoch, aber ich würde mir das Gerät wieder kaufen, es wirkt hochwertig und ist eine tolle Ergänzung zum Wicked Edge Schleifsystem.

If you are sharpening your kitchen-knives and your 3 to 4 folders and some fixed blade knives, it is not necessary to have it, especially if you sharpen by hand most of the time. If you use an edge pro apex, it's sometimes nice to know the angle exactly. If you have that tool, you think it's not necessary but if you haven't, you think that you really need it. :-)

It's a good, solid tool. If you measure again and again, it varies in the range +/- 0,2 degrees (as promised). But hey, come on, does it matter? ... It seems to be hard for a tool of this size and price range to do it better and I don't care.
