I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now. I’ll start with the negatives: the bevels at the belly and the tip were a bit iffy, as if that area was somehow thinner. I also got a bit of micro-chipping there fairly easily. The hex key for the sheath screws is a bit odd because it comes from the US and, at least for me, the measurements weren’t exact. It was a pain to get them off and I can’t tighten them down much. I also don’t like the sheath. The retention and the click-in are better than on the Ursus 45. However, I really dislike the belt loop attachment; it damages my belt and feels too stiff. I had to set it at an angle, but then I can’t put the sheath back into the original box for storage because it doesn’t fit. The firesteel cap is just a simple rubber cap to stop it slipping, but it moves and can slip over time. In my opinion that felt rather cheap. On the plus side: it is one of, if not the best knife of its size I’ve ever used. For my hand size, the handle fits perfectly: no fatigue, no hot spots, just a pleasure to hold. It’s really lightweight too, and for the blade size it’s very compact because the handle is smaller than on other knives in this segment (the handle on the Lionsteel B35 is longer, for example, but has thinner scales). I went for the black burlap Micarta, but now I think I would have preferred to match the linen on my Ursus 45. Anyway, the blade is amazing. It is thinner than any Spyderco I own (yes, it is thinner behind the edge than any Spyderco, probably except the Dragonfly Wharncliffe and maybe the Chaparral). It’s very, very slicey and their MagnaCut is well treated. The factory edge is almost hair-whittling sharp. All in all, despite my initial complaints, it’s a knife I wish I’d bought sooner and that won’t leave my rotation because I think it’s amazing. As a fun side note, it fits perfectly in the MKM Normar leather sheath. It doesn’t fill it, as the Normar has a longer blade, but the strap works perfectly to hold it secure and tight in place, which it doesn’t on the Normar.

A well-made, high-quality tool, and the sheath fits perfectly.
