The **Spyderco Karahawk** is a tough karambit, designed by Sal Glesser. The Karahawk combines the characteristic features of a karambit with the Emerson Wave Opener and the Spyderco thumb hole. As a result there are multiple ways of quickly opening the knife. As a result you can quickly get started with opening boxes and other packages.


The handle is made from G10, a light-weight glass fibre-reinforced material. Incredibly strong and offers you enough grip. The blade itself is made from VG10. A Japanese type of steel that retains its sharpness well but can also easily be sharpened.


Normally you hold a karambit a little differently from a normal pocket knife. You insert your finger in the large ring and place your fingers around the handle with the edge pointing forward. As a result you will have an incredibly solid grip.


You can quickly open the Karahawk with the thumb hole, or with the Emerson Wave Opening feature. With it you slightly pull the knife backwards when you remove it from your pocket. By doing this the *wave* will get caught on your pocket after which the knife will open by itself.
