Spyderco Delica 4 Micro-Melt PD#1 C11BGBKP Burgundy, Sprint Run 2024 pocket knife

This was my 1st spyderco but it had to be returned. The plastic scales feel grippy but look and feel cheap. The blade was amazingly sharp and I like the shape of it, however, I found the thumb hole a bit sharp on my thumb (I have cracked skin on fingers and this is not pleasant to open for me) The worst thing about this knife was the vertical blade play. If I apply pressure to the cutting edge (or just hold the blade) the blade moved up enough to feel it through the back lock. This is the last thing I want a knife to do when cutting so I had to return it. I have other knives - none nearly as expensive as this but I have never experienced blade play.. I didn't even know what vertical blade play was until I bought this knife - For me it's not a good 1st impression of spiderco. KATs were great about it and helped resolve.
