The **Rough Ryder Copper Linerlock** is a cool, EDC pocket knife. A relatively modern design from the usually traditional manufacturer Rough Ryder. Because of the copper scales it is not a lightweight knife. As such it is rock-solid and feels great in hand. You open the blade with the flipper and when opened the linerlock will keep it in place.

## D2 steel blade

The blade is made from D2 steel. D2 steel is a type of tool steel that can be sharpened razor-sharp. It is also very tough and can handle its own. D2, however, is not completely stainless, but with a little bit of oil D2 will stay in great shape. 

## Copper handle

The handle is made from solid copper, rock-solid and with a great colour. Copper is a heavy material, making the knife relatively heavy as well. The copper is polished, making it nice and shiny. In time copper will get a patina, making each knife unique.

Rough Ryder Knives is a brand with a rich history. For over 25 years this brand is known for its excellent price-quality ratio. Like Theodore Roosevelt's Rough Ryders these knives were named after, these knives are ready to be used. The prices are very appealing. Of course this means you sometimes need to compromise which means that occasionally you could find there to be something wrong with the finish. Nothing major, and definitely in line with the prices. In case of natural materials such as wood, bone and horn it is possible to end up with small scratches around the pins. It is simply a part of the deal in this price range.

Le coté cuivre est sympa sur le principe, mais la construction n'est pas dingue.
Les pièces vertes paraissent anodisés sur la photo, en réalité c'est de la vulgaire peinture. Le liner lock fait en "tôle" n'inspire pas confiance et les ajustements sont hasardeux.
Pour ce prix d'entrée de gamme, il aurait été judicieux de réduire la quantité de cuivre du manche et peut être de mettre un acier de lame meilleur marché et pousser le curseur sur le finition pour en faire un couteau plus homogène.
