The **Real Steel Sidus Free** is a cool cooperation between Real Steel and Jakub Wieczorkiewicz from Poltergeist Works. This isn't the first time Real Steel cooperates with Poltergeist Works. Not surprising. Each cooperation results into a great knife!



You open the Real Steel Sidus with two hands. This is namely the 'Free' version of the Sidus. Easy to open with two hands and therefore legal in many places in Europe. When opened the blade is locked by a solid liner lock. Striking about the construction of the Real Steel Sidus is the choice of only two screws to keep the whole together. Because of the size of the screws they still offer enough stability in combination with the backspacer. Another great feature is that you can see straight through the screws, just like the customs of Poltergeist itself. These scales are rounded for a comfortable grip over the knife.

Ich bin kein Taschenmesserenthusiast, sondern habe lediglich ein Messer gesucht, welches sicher (festgestellte Klinge) und öffentlich tragbar ist. (also ein Zweihandmesser) Jetzt ist das Messer aber ab Werk sicherlich kein Zweihandmesser. Es ist so leichtgängig, dass ich das ohne Probleme auch mit 2 Fingern öffnen könnte. Also habe ich jetztdie Schrauben so fest gezogen, dass man schon einiges an Kraft braucht. Eleganter wäre es gewesen, das Messer hätte schon ab Werk weniger Material zum greifen der Klinge. So hätte man weniger "grip" und könnte das Messer nicht so leicht öffnen. Deshalb nun der Umweg mit schwergängiger Öffnung (die sich btw nach einigem rumspielen bereits wieder von alleine löst)
