The **QSP Locust Knife** is an unusual, elongated pocket knife. With a total length of over 22 cm, the Locust is quite a large knife. However, it isn't very heavy. The Wharncliffe blade can be easily sharpened on a flat stone. You open the blade with the thumb hole, which is almost like the eye of the Locust, or with the super-fast flipper.

The blade is made from VG10. This is a stainless steel from Japan that retains its sharpness well but is also easy to sharpen. 

The handle of this knife is made from micarta, a composite material made from textile and synthetic resin. It is rock-solid, lightweight and it feels great in hand. In this case, QSP calls it 'Flax Micarta'. As you may know already, flax is in fact the raw material for linen.
