This **Le Creuset mini cocotte Azure** is a nice addition to your kitchen. In this cute little pan you can serve the most delicious soups, small casseroles, sauces or crème brûlées. The cocotte has a 10-cm diameter, a capacity of 0.25 litre and is made from ceramics. As a result, this pan is not suitable for use on a gas or induction hob, but is suitable for use in the oven (max. 260 °C), the microwave or under a grill. 

However, this cocotte is not only great for warm dishes. You can also easily prepare cold dishes in these small pans. Place the cocottes in the freezer before use (up to max -18 degrees C) and serve a wonderfully cool dish. From the freezer straight in the oven is also an option. For the best preparation you place the pan in a cold oven. As such the oven and the dish will heat up simultaneously, for the best result.

## Cleaning the pan

Clean the mini cocotte before use with some soap and dry it well. If you are done cooking allow the pan to cool down before you wash it. Immediately putting the pan under a cold tap could damage the pans: the ceramics could break. Clean these cocottes by hand, or put them in the dishwasher. Do, however, keep in mind that if you put them in the dishwasher the glossy finish can start to fade in time.

## History of Le Creuset pans

The basis for the success of the Le Creuset pans started in 1924 at the fair in Brussels. Armand Desaegher (specialist in cast iron) and Octave Aubecq (specialist in enamel) joined forces and decided to establish a company. It turned out to be an amazing decision.
