KNAFS Lulu KNAFS-00251, Black CPM MagnaCut, Green Canvas Micarta, fixed knife

Box arrived with the seal sticker already torn and taped back shut with 2x clear circular sticky tape pads. The knife and sheath were not in the enclosed plastic bag. So this had bee already opened. Bad for a new knife. I guess someone wanted to take a look. I wanted a new knife and would have taken care to keep the sticker intact when opening it as it keeps things nice. Worse, the blade was dull. Would not even cut paper. Shocking as Ben said these are razor sharp and one unboxing I saw had it shaving hairs out the box. This being Magnacut needs extra skill and kit and care that many won’t have. This seems fairly common as it is mentioned a couple of times on the Knafs site with Ben himself saying they are learning to get better at the grind. So it’s a lottery if the knife is useable or needs work. Not good at this hardness. I asked Knivesandtools to return this and postage, as the knife box was already opened and the knife unusable without skilled work and kit and this seems to have been ignored or missed as they still want me to pay £12.95 return fee. I’ll try again to get this resolved, but it leaves a bad feeling about this purchase. It’s not my fault the knife needs significant work (nor theirs I suppose) but they sent an opened box item as new and are the retailer. They should take full responsibility for the cost of the return.
