The **Kershaw Camp 5 1083** is a fixed survival knife. It is made to accompany you during hikes and camping trips. But also during the more demanding tasks the Camp 5 will be there for you. The construction is solid and the materials can handle their own.

 The blade is made from D2 steel. A tough and rock-solid type of steel that retains its sharpness well. Because of the royal 'swedge' the blade is a lot lighter than you might expect for its length. And yet it can definitely handle its own. The only thing you need to take into account is that D2 steel is not completely stainless. After coming into contact with moisture, acids and salts you need to clean and dry it.

 The FRN handle is strong and offers enough grip. The end is quite narrow to make sure there is also enough room for your ring finger and little finger. As such it feels great in hand, giving you a lot of control over the knife.

 The sheath is also made from FRN and enhanced with different mounting options.
