The **Helle Wabakimi 201630** is a bushcraft knife, designed by survival experts Les Stroud. For the Wabakimi he combined the best of his Mândra neck knife with his Temagami bushcraft knife. The result is a knife that is perfect for long-term use while hunting, for instance, or for other bushcraft or outdoor tasks.

What's typical about the Helle Wabakimi is the very comfortable handle. The handle is pretty thick, so this knife feels great in hand even for those with large hands. Its oval shape is pleasant to hold in different ways. As a result, you can use it for many different cutting techniques. The handle is made from birch wood. This knife has a half-tang construction. The tang of the blade runs through to the top part of the handle. At the base of the handle you can see that the wood continues.

The blade is made from Sleipner steel. Sleipner is a tough type of tool steel similar to D2, but with an even better sharpness retention. Very tough and easy to sharpen. It is important to oil the blade after use: Sleipner is not stainless. This core has a razor-sharp edge and is easy to sharpen. Especially because it has a scandi grind. This edge is easy to sharpen and great for wood work.

The Helle Wabakimi 201630 comes with a nice leather belt sheath. It has enough room for belts up to 5.5 cm wide.
