The **Gerber Affinity 30-001869 Copper** is a functional pocket knife with a sleek design. Designed by Gerber for both EDC use and as a stylish item to accompany your outfit.

The thumb stud stands out. It is placed in the groove in the blade. With good reason! You can move the thumb stud. As such you can adjust the opening mechanism to your liking. Very clever! Nobody has identical hands. You rarely come across this option on a budget knife and it clearly demonstrates that Gerber cares about the user-friendliness of their products.

This version of the Affinity is made from D2 steel. A tough type of steel that retains its sharpness well. D2 steel, however, is not completely stainless. So carefully dry the knife after peeling some fruit or after a heavy downpour.

The handle is made from stunning copper. A great material that will form a patina in time, making each knife unique. When opened the blade is locked by a framelock mechanism. An interesting detail is the overtravel stop. Or, as Gerber calls it: a 'pinch plate'. This prevents that the lockbar is pushed too far from the frame as you unlock it. The overtravel stop is larger than average and enhanced with a texture. As such your fingers rest on the overtravel-stop, and not on the lockbar. Another detail that emphasizes that Gerber pays close attention to the user-friendliness of their products.

You can easily carry the Gerber Affinity in your pocket with the pocket clip. It is nice and wide to make sure the knife stays in place.
