The **Fox Knives FX-103 MB** is a robust fixed knife, designed by German knife maker Markus Reichart. His knives are meant to be used. Function comes first. You can tell when you look at the knife. All shapes, finishes and materials are carefully thought through.



The blade is made from Niolox steel. A German type of tool steel that is fairly stainless but when exposed to salt and acids can stain a little. When it comes to sharpness retention Niolox can be compared to D2 steel, but it is more resistant against chipping. It has a fine structure and it is easy to sharpen. The large blade is no less than 55 mm thick. As such this knife is perfect for the more demanding use. Think of batoning wood or other tasks.



The handle is made from burlap micarta. Looks amazing and it offers you a lot of grip. The shape of the handle and the texture on the scales make sure your hand won't move during use. A great detail is the steel finger guard at the start of the blade. The top of the blade is enhanced with ridges for your thumb. Great for detailed tasks. The end of the handle is enhanced with a large lanyard hole to attach a piece of paracord.


You can carry the Fox Knives FX-103 MB in the stunning, black leather sheath. The sheath was designed as such that you can carry it horizontally and scout-carry on your belt.

Tolles Messer,sehr solide verarbeitet.Die Scheide war am anfang sehr zäh/unflexibel und der Verschluss mit Druckknopf nur unter  größter mühe zu schließen,aber mittlerweile hat sich das Leder gedehnt und alles ist top!

Das Messer selbst erfüllt alle Erwartungen. Styling und Verarbeitung sind sehr gut. Es ist ausgewogen und sehr führig. Das Finisch edel. Soweit so gut!
Das Problem ist die Lederscheide. Egal wer die konzipiert und produziert hat, hat keine Ahnung von den Ansprüchen an eine Lederscheide.
1. Der Sicherungsriehmen ist viel zu kurz bemessen. Er lässt sich nur größter Kraftaufwendung schließen. Mit einer Hand völlig unmöglich zu bedienen.
2. Das Messer kann nur mit Gewalt in die Scheide gesteckt werden. Rausholen am Gürtel ist so gut wie unmöglich.
3. Eine der Schraubnieten ist so platziert, dass die Schneide beim Einstecken zwangläufig direkt auf dieser Niete schrammt. Die Niete zerstört so systematisch die Schneide.

Langer Rede Kurzer Sinn: Trotz der aufwändigen Machart, ist diese Messerschneide in Verbindung mit diesem Messer ein Fall für den Mülleimer. Schade für dieses eigentlich sehr gute Messer. 150,- € ohne Scheide wäre in Ordnung. So ist das Angebot völlig durch die Lederscheide ruiniert.

Een zeer allround mes die in de outdoor voor verschillende doeleinden gebruikt kan worden.
Het lemmet wordt al goed scherp geleverd en in een mooie lederen houder.
Het handvat ligt heerlijk in de hand geen slip gevaar als je kracht ermee zet.
