The **ESEE Model 3 in CPM S35VN steel** is a solid survival knife with a remarkable upgrade. Usually, this knife is made from 1095 carbon steel. A tough type of steel that is quickly prone to rust. After the knife community had been asking for a premium type of stainless steel for years ESEE finally decided to experiment with CPM S35VN steel. This is the result: the ESEE in S35VN.

 This S35VN steel retains its sharpness a lot longer than the 'traditional' 1095 carbon steel. As such you don't have to sharpen it that often. S35VN is also stainless, which means it doesn't require a lot of maintenance. As such this knife is great when spending time in the snow, maritime surroundings or when you find yourself in other circumstances where maintaining your knife is not an option. So are there only advantages? No, unfortunately this is a 'compromise' as every type of steel is. S35VN is quite tough for a stainless type of steel, however, compared to 1095 carbon steel it is not as tough and flexible. As such this knife is meant for cutting tasks, not batoning. For that purpose you should always bring an axe.

 The full-tang blade is enhanced with a G10 handle. A 3D G10 handle. This was also an answer to questions of enthusiasts. The traditional ESEE scales are flat and angular. These 3D scales are a lot more ergonomic. Because of the grooves you still have a lot of grip over the knife. With these scales the ESEE 3 has become a lot more versatile, even coming close to the traditional bushcraft knives. The ESEE 3 has reasonably modest dimensions so that it won't look too 'threatening'. With this size it can easily be used as an EDC knife.

 The knife comes with a carefully thought out and flexible sheath. The knife perfectly fits inside the Zytel sheath which can be mounted on the included plate with steel belt clip. You can attach it on both sides so the whole can be made to size.

 The great thing about the 3D scales is these versions fit in the same sheaths as the normal versions. Need an additional or replacement sheath? No worries, you can simply choose the normal version!

Esee met z'n levenslange garantie is gewoonweg super. Daarbij opgeteld de staalsoort S35VN maakt het gewoon bizar goed. Dit mes ligt heerlijk in de hand. Het staal blijft erg lang scherp. Na gebruik stoppen is eigenlijk het enige dat nodig is.
