The **Condor Norse Dragon Seax Knife 1024-7.0HC** is a Nordic style outdoor knife. With this knife in hand you immediately feel like you are living amongst the Vikings. Rune marks on the blade and sheath, a Viking dragon on the handle: it could give you chills on the spot.

 As you would expect from a Scandinavian-inspired knife, the Condor Norse Dragon Seax Knife is enhanced with a blade with convex scandi-edge. That is a fine grind for wood work. A scandi-edge is also easy to sharpen. Even with limited means and while out in the field. You use this knife for light bushcraft tasks and wood work.

 The blade of the Condor Norse Dragon Seax Knife is made from 1095 carbon steel. A strong type of steel that is easy to sharpen and can handle quite a bit. 1095, however, is not completely stainless. As such you need to clean it regularly and add a drop of oil once in a while. The handle is made from American hickory wood. This type of wood is known for its strength. It is for a reason that this type of wood has been used for axes and hammer handles for years.

 The side of the handle is enhanced with a laser engraving of a Nordic dragon. It radiates the viking-style. It doesn't end with the knife. The hand-made leather sheath is also enhanced with decorations. The inside of the sheath has been enhanced with a plastic holder. As such you won't pierce the blade through the sheath.

Mooie en solide Seax, ligt lekker goed uitgebalanceerd in de hand. Echter was hij af fabriek zeer slecht geslepen en bot. Heb er een paar uurtjes aan moeten besteden om het echt goed scherp te krijgen.

Eenmaal goed scherp dan laat het design van de lederen schede te wensen over. Het heeft een zachte kunststof inlage en je moet goed en precies mikken en aanvoelen hoe het mes voorzichtig goed recht er in te krijgen. Lukt dit niet meteen en voel je weerstand voordat het lemmet geheel in de schede is duw dan niet ongeduldig door, je hebt er niet veel kracht voor nodig om door het stiksel heen in je vingers te snijden.

Dus dat minpuntje van de schedeconstructie kost 'm toch een sterretje. Anders was ik voor uitstekend gegaan.

Verder is het prijstechnisch een leuk indrukwekkend mes met een mooie geschiedenis. Een eye catcher met een verhaal.
