The **Chris Reeve Green Beret 7”** is the official combat knife of the American Special Forces. It's a no-nonsense 'tool' designed by famous knifemaker and designer Bill Harsey, and made by Chris Reeve Knives.



The Green Beret is a knife that's been made to be used: efficient, tough and strong, just like the Special Forces troops it was designed for. It is made from one piece of S35VN powder steel with a durable KG Gun-kote anti-reflection coating. The nice hollow grind is typical of Chris Reeve Knives' excellent workmanship.



The handle is made from micarta. This incredibly strong, lightweight material is perfect for handles. It feels great in hand and provides plenty of grip. And micarta still offers enough grip even if it gets wet. The textile fibres in the material expand a little, which creates additional texture. Because of the handle's size, even users with large hands will be able to get a good grip. The Green Beret is also easy to use while wearing gloves.




The Chris Reeve Green Beret comes with a fantastic nylon sheath. It has a plastic insert and is also MOLLE-compatible. You can tell straight away that this sheath is well thought out: the inside of the plastic insert has a layer of fabric to make sure the knife won't move inside the sheath.

Ik heb deze aangeschaft om het nieuwe model te hebben, ik heb er een oudere van 2008 en dat is een gebruiker ( voor zover het wettelijk is)  . Over het nieuwe uitdaging kan ik alleen maar positief zijn wegens ergonomische handgreep en dubbele serrations maar ik hou deze als een safequeen eigenlijk maar het verschil dat ik al direct merk is dat hij lichter is en een betere grip heeft maar tegelijkertijd een heel ander handvat dan de vorige modellen maar ben er zeker van dat je niet teleurgesteld zal zijn zowel van staal, handvat welke véél meer grip heeft en je voelt dat je kwaliteit vast hebt. Hij is vlijmscherpe, goed handelbaar en spijtig genoeg kan ik niet veel meer zeggen aangezien ik hem niet echt ga  gebruiken omdat mijn eerste me nog altijd niet in de steek heeft gelaten en die heeft al wat doorstaan. Je kan niet missen met Chris Reeve👍Als je meer een camping mes zoekt raad ik ook zeker de Pacific aan die heeft een meer uitgesproken Bowielemmet met even geweldig handvat👍

Dieses Tool entspricht in seiner perfekten Herstellungsqualität dem gehobenen Preis. Es ist ein Handschmeichler und eine Augenweide.

Nach einigen kurzen Tests im Wald bin ich von der Robustheit vollkommen überzeugt. Dem albernen aber recht bekannten "Destruction Test" im Netz sollte man nicht ernst nehmen.

Aber: dieses Messer ist natürlich kein Bushcraft Tool und will es auch gar nicht sein! Ein solcher Vergleich ist unsinnig.
