The **Böker Plus Gekai 02BO071** is a slim fixed knife, designed by Charles de Buyer. He's also the designer of the Böker Plus Islero. A similar, but slightly smaller neck knife.

At first glance, this knife looks to be suitable for small, everyday cutting tasks. Until you notice the blade thickness of 5 mm: that is when you realize the knife is meant for heavy-duty use. Because of its weight and slim profile you hardly notice that you carry it with you. In terms of steel, D2 was chosen. D2 is a tough type of tool steel that retains its sharpness well. Do keep this in mind: D2 is not completely stainless. This means that it won't rust in your hands, but acids, salt or moisture can cause discolouration. Because of the design, the contact between your hands and the handle is quite intensive. As such there is a good chance that discolourations will emerge faster due to, for instance, sweaty hands. Nothing to worry about.

The Böker Plus Gekai comes with a sleek kydex sheath. With the sheath, you can carry it from your belt, or you can remove the belt clip to carry it as a neck knife (neck cord not included).
